    Enhance our Mentoring Program!

  • Lunch and a trip for one mentor - mentee match @ $50
  • Provide our CPNYC teens with an eight week in-house internship $500 stipend intern month.
  • Build a CPNYC Girls Scout or Boy Scout troop @ $1,000

    Physical Education:

  • Play basketball with us: Ten new basketballs @ $25 each
  • Will you shoot for the stars? A new portable basketball hoop @ $250
  • There is no I in TEAM: Help build the first ever CPNYC basketball team

    Computer Lab

  • Software from Classroom Inc. “Simulations that place students in virtual workplaces in managerial positions” @ $1,000
  • Create a Parent Resource Center: Where parents learn Microsoft Office Suite @ $100 per parent for 8 week workshop, Staff @ $25/hr

    After School & Summer Programs

  • CPNYC t-shirts, back packs, and ponchos @ $25 per child
  • Send our children to: The Brooklyn Children’s Museum, The Museum of African American Art, The Intrepid @ $25 per child per trip
  • Be a part of our Summer and Spring Productions: Costumes @ $20 per child
  • Lighting for the stage @ $1,000, Sound system complete with microphones @ $2,000

    Therapeutic Program

  • With Therapeutic tools and resources for children and adolescents: Therapeutic Games, Doll house and multi-culture doll set, Therapeutic art supplies @ $250

    Expand our mental health staff

  • Hiring of an additional social worker @ $50,000/year
  • Parent support group awards ceremony and dinner @ $50 (after 12 sessions parents participate in Awards ceremony)

    Library

  • Shelf of books @ $100 from Scholastics Inc.
  • Make us multi-media: A projector @ $300
  • A white board: An audio booth @ $500
  • Library software (BOOTHCAT) to create scan able CPNYC library cards @ $1,000

    Creative Movement

  • Expand the Backpack Magic: Props needed

  • Three wall mounted drying racks @ $100 each
  • One weekly project for each child @ $5 per child = $300
  • Add ceramics to the mix! One pottery wheel and kiln @ $3,500 each

    Staff Development

  • Send direct services staff to a workshop: Creating a socially & emotionally responsive environment at PASE (Partnership for After School Education) @ 350 per staff member
  • Help our Art Instructor become a certified Art Therapist at The New School @ $1,000 a semester
  • Send our Mental Health Director to National Conferences @ $1,000/trip
