History & Leadership
Children of Promise, NYC was incorporated and obtained 501(c)3 status in 2007. The brainchild of Sharon Content, CPNYC was developed based on years of working with children and young adults whose lives had been deeply impacted by parental incarceration. With the vision of establishing programs citywide, CPNYC launched its flagship program in Bedford- Stuyvesant, Brooklyn in November 2008.
